Cabaret Excentrique is a gloriously alternative 21st century variety show that plays in theatres across the UK, regularly winning rave reviews from everyone who sees it.  It has been reviewed as harking back to the fabulous days of old music hall and vaudeville entertainment.

The show features an ever changing mix of comedy circuit comedians, aerial silk and trapeze acts, chinese pole circus performers, burlesque tassle-twirlers, magicians and illusionists, can can dancers, mime artistes, fabulous singers and bands, contortionists, showgirls, belly-dancers, acrobats, clowns, fire-breathers and many other diverse cabaret performers that often have to be seen to be believed!

Each Cabaret Excentrique show is hosted by an experienced comedy circuit compere, who ensures the event runs smoothly and that the audience are kept entertained between acts.  Individual performance pieces last between 5-20 minutes, and the show is performed in either two 60min halves, or three 40 minute sections.

In the last three years Cabaret Excentrique has sold out the 350 capacity Hall 2 at the SageGateshead, sold out four times at the 200 capacity Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond, sold out the 450 seat Gala Theatre in Durham, and came close to selling out at Alnwick Playhouse, Wakefield Theatre Royal, Preston Charter Theatre and Stockton ARC.

The show was also used to open the Newcastle Gateshead comedy festival in 2006, and returns to the festival as the opening show on Monday 1 March in 2010.

Further UK theatre dates for 2010 are currently being discussed with other venues around the UK - and should be announced soon.

Cabaret Excentrique is also particularly popular with many UK Universities who book it for freshers events and balls.

The show has also been booked for large corporate events, and is suitable for all kinds of festivals, as proved by the 2006 Newcastle Gateshead comedy festival show at the £70M SageGateshead venue.
