So what's it all about? Well our previous sit-down show "The Golden Lotus Cabaret Burlesque" has now been totally revamped, redesigned and rebranded as House of the Golden Lotus - a club night event featuring awesome music, live cirque-burlesque performance sections, gogo dancers and bizarre sideshow attractions - all set in amazing venues that totally fit the show, or in venues which are redecorated to create the bizarre carnival/opium den atmosphere.

The show launched in Newcastle Upon Tyne at the Newcastle University in their very spacious 1200 capacity Basement venue on Saturday 10 March.

Then it hit the utterly gorgeous venue that is The Empire in Middlesbrough on Friday 23 March.

We have since repeated the show with different performers and different routines, different freaks, different walkabouts etc at Newcastle Uni's Basement on 19 May and 20 October.

We are currently in discussions to bring Lotus to Leeds and Manchester in 2008.

At each show there will be prizes for the best (un)dressed and best dancers.

But above all it's a club night where you can have lots of fun, dance, be entertained and generally let your hair down in the decadent atmosphere of an otherworldly opium den!
